Medieval villages in the “interior” (as they say) Let the ancient streets take you back in time as you see the medieval bridge of Besalú built in the XI century, eat traditional pastries in Castellfollit, the town built on a cliff, and enjoy a café in beautiful Santa Pau after taking a small hike in La Fageda volcanic park.
Walk the Cami de la Ronda in S’Agaró, enjoy lunch in a seafood restaurant along the coast, then explore the fortress above the beach of Tossa all with incredible views of the Mediterranean.
A visit to Catalonia would not be complete without a glimpse into the mind of the bizarre imagination of Salvador Dalí in his museum in Figueres. Then, with a drive out to the coast, see his fishing village hometown, Cadaqués, with its stunning location and white houses amidst rolling hills in the natural park of Cap de Creus. If you are traveling with children, you may opt to visit the toy museum in Figueres.
Visit the famous sights of Barcelona such as, The Sagrada Família, La Rambla, The Gothic Quarter, and enjoy plentiful shopping and lively streets in this must see European Capital.
Walk the medieval streets of the Jewish Quarter, and then after a leisurely lunch, stroll the Jardins d’Alemany and the old city walls for some beautiful views of the city.
Original Greek and Roman ruins and archeological museum in a magnificent natural setting then enjoy a local Wine Tasting in D.O. Empordà.
